This is my very first year ever in Stardew Valley. I tried playing the game a couple of years ago but stopped playing because I couldn’t figure out how to craft a scarecrow(advanced crafting wasn’t turned on). But I’ve just picked it up again several days ago and I’m in love! It has quickly risen to my top 10 games of all time.
I have ADHD and it can be a lot for my brain to have so many tasks to do at once. And I felt a bit overwhelmed by all the different systems and more advanced stuff I heard about online for late game. But someone told me online to just pick a goal for the day and so it. And to not stress about optimizing. I’ll eventually start worrying about community center but for now I just want to focus on building up my farm.
So that’s what I’ve been doing and my enjoyment of the game has really skyrocketed. I am in my first fall and finally got my first animals, 3 chickens. And just today in-game I finished my goal of making 10 preserve jars. This game is really something special and I’m so glad I found it. Also, hat-mouse is my favorite! Too cute.

Something about just a simple Year 1 Fall farm image is so nice. I can’t explain it, the image just gives me peace lol
I just started playing it again and got to my first winter. Same here, I don’t do any min/max thing and taking my time to enjoy it. Some days I just fish all day or just walk around. In no rush and know that the season will always come by and there is no time limit for ANYTHING
