Sorry I had to repost to fix the image quality 😭 I love Elliott and I’ve always married him, but I’m also really happy about Sandy and want to marry her in my next playthrough, so I was looking at her wiki page and realized her portraits looked familiar!

Plot twist: they’re twins that got separated at birth. And their mom is the opera singing mermaid from Night Market.

I bet the real reason is CA was being lazy (like, not in a bad way). I do this a lot in my own game.
Getting positioning/angle right is the hardest part, once thats set in its a LOT easier to draw new assets over the existing doll. I bet you’ll see this all over SDV’s art if you look hard enough, I know it’s all over mine.

I think it’s because of the same position as the Portraits; the expressions are more limited, so it happens, or he just reused it, which is normal for game developers.

And now in 1.7. Sandy will get more portraits, even face front one which scares people like Penny’s front face portrait haha.
