Isn't there like, way more stuff that goes into prefix randomization? I think I heard some'in about a chance for bad prefixes to be rerolled, or reduced bad prefix chance on stuff that has a bad prefix already.

This is why you use shimmer to decraft and recraft your equipment until you get what you want. It obviously only works on things that are crafted but it ends up saving you a TON of money over the course of a playthrough since it costs no money at all.

Why even separate Spears from the other non-Sword Melee Weapons (which also includes Flails and some other weapons)? They all use the exact same 14 universal modifiers. Also some weapons can't get modifiers that affect knockback, which makes reforging them overall cheaper.

I finally experienced the true goblin tinkerer today
I tried to get legendary on my flint because it's a really darn good weapon
And it took so long I had to actually switch to another character because I didn't have any money left
O had almost 1 plat for reference
And has to switch to my main character where I have around 200 plat
3:20 I understand what you're saying but that is kinda misleading. It's important to not misinterpret statistics, and your conclusion isn't very helpful. In this case, you'd roll until you get what you want. You don't roll n times and hope you get the best reforge at least once, you rather keep rerolling until you get it and then stop. So it's way more accurate to say "95% of the time it will cost less than 226x sell price" and "5% of the time it will cost more than 226x sell price". It's a small nuance, but quite an important one
