i generally don’t check on my cave once i’m done with the community center, and i go in with the botanist profession to clear it out later and decorate it once i have a few of the catalogs

Yeah, especially when you get fruit trees up and running in your greenhouse. Year round fruit, no real reason to go in.

Not one fucking apricot. Just like my cave. It also didn’t give me a single pomegranate until after my tree grew and gave me what I needed. Same thing with apples.

I put kegs in my mushroom cave so I still visit it once in a while.

The cave is never a means of resource gathering to me it’s a place to decorate thats all i see it as.
The perks of the cave is too lacking but i can see it being worth it for players who like to take things slowly so i don’t mind it in that case & just decorate inside differently each time.
Some times it’s a man cave, some times it’s a place for my legendary fish, some times it’s a dig site for bones/artifacts & some times it’s a shrine to the golden lewis or iridium krobus statues.

Salmonberries are hardly worth the effort to pick up. I chuck them immediately in the shipping bin.

I check once a week or so since the foraging perk gives iridium quality. Makes for excellent gifts for villagers

I did Joja this recent playthru and set it up for mushroom, adding stumps so I get three rows full.

I put kegs in the cave so it brings be back frequently. I don’t get a lot of fruit from the cave anymore, but I use the fruit tree in my greenhouse or fill the kegs (and the two are next to one another).
