Doesn’t it require 5 fruits to produce 1 jar of dried fruit? Versus only 1 fruit for a bottle of wine?

I planted mostly starfruit, in summer i got like 2 masteries straight back to back only harvesting 500 tiles of starfruit

I dry ancient fruit too. I have 8 kegs, and two driers. And like 35-40 casks in the basement. I sell the gold and silver star ancient fruit outright. I save the base level stuff, I keg it and cask it, and dry the rest (I alternate between ancient fruit, certain mushrooms and pineapple). I always have a full basement of casks going to sell once a month when they fully mature. I never run out of ancient fruit.

I play for fun/relaxation. I like to make money, but min/maxing to death and spending the entire game in a money grind is boring to me.

Once you have a greenhouse full of ancient fruit why not dry some? It’s not like you’re ever going to shave a shortage?

It costs almost exactly as many AF to make that many dried AF shown here as it does to make the amount of wine below it. Same investment, half the profit. You get it faster, sure, but at a clear cost.

If you want a quick turnaround, dehydrate it.

If you want a golden clock, keg it.
