Hey guys, it's been almost a year since my last post! I took a break, and within the last couple weeks or so I've began work on Sanctia; my lore-driven city atop a mountain ( <- YouTube video of some progress so far).

Things are going well, but this is my stump… My next build is a Tavern/Inn which I'd like to build on the grassland in front of this ledge, but the ledge feels unnatural and I'm not sure on how to either lean into it being there, or to try smooth it out.

I've considered just putting an alleyway there but it would be difficult to introduce a guardrail so people wouldn't fall because of spacing constraints.

My current thought is that I can either go 1 block further down here to make the ledge more established and obvious, or try to elevate everything else so its only a 1 block drop.

Looking forward to input, you guys always help make great choices! ^_^ <3

EDIT: Sorry for posting this here btw, it seems sub rules are on the fence about this post, but r/MinecraftBuilds also wouldn't have allowed this. 🙁

  1. Maybe add little piles of storage or whatever else might appear on the side of an alley, like pots or barrels. Or add extensions like slabs and stairs as if the ledge is more naturally taken care of
