its the limit, its off by just a single one (2,147,483,648 is what you did, and 2,147,483,647 is the max)
That's not the limit if you try to double it it just breaks as it reaches the 32 bit integer limit in the games code

I would just craft the diamonds into blocks
It probably hit the 32 bit interger when multiplying since 16 + 16 or 16 x 2 is 32, so that being 16777216 x 2 would be larger than the 32 bit interger, therefore the game cannot count past the 32 bit interger

You can't double it more 'cause it will be more than 2147483647 which Minecraft cannot handle because it's the largest 32 bit integer
the limit is 100% 32 bit limit which is like 2 billion something
