Stone brick has stone brick(obv); mossy stone brick; cracked stone brick, and chiseled stone bricks. Why doesn't regular brick have that variety.
While we're at it, granite bricks would be awesome. Picture 2 is a great example. It's not a bunch of smaller stones like cobble stone; they're not uniform bricks, they're chaotic rectangle blocks. But they fit together to make a smooth and esthetic wall.
Although, my idea of Granite bricks would probably be a pain in the ass to pull off. However, my first point still stands. Why don't we have more brick variants?
Imagine cracked red bricks; repaired red bricks (cracks filled with clay); mossy bricks, etc. I'd love something like that. Mossy red bricks would make for an awesome garden path.
I'm building a Georgian era town, so I've been using a lot of bricks. Just something I've been thinking about recently

I’ve been disappointed as well. I wanna build brick stuff but I don’t like how vibrant the bricks are. Best you can do is add vines overtop or glow lichen
I’m dying for a proper limestone brick, sandstone and birch are just a bit off the correct color
Yeah, I’m doing a big factory build and it looks very boring, just big walls of red. I tried putting in some Nether brick blocks but it didn’t blend AT ALL.
Stone brick has a special place in my heart.
Not the same, but vanillatweeks does offer brick variation.
Honestly every “stone like” block should have all the variations. Stairs, slabs, walls, cracked, mossy, chiseled. All of them.
HOLY photoshop
So brick, cracked, and mossy variants for other stones?
Right? Stone bricks get the full luxury package while regular bricks are stuck with the basic model. At this point even mossy or cracked versions would make builders way too happy for Mojang’s comfort.
