You'd have to tweak Bedrock's swords and axes but otherwise this should work

    I want a second combat overhaul where it adds sidegrades to weapons. Right now, for main weapons that dont suck as main weapons is just sword and axe, and you kinda need axe no matter.

    Imagine short range daggers that attack fast with some kind of dual wield ability or backstab, or war hammer that has a charge attack to decide damage or have some kind of utility function.

    I want combat to have variability, not just “sword or axe, bow or crossbow”

    Diamond hoe has 4 attack speed but only +1 attack damage. Of course the damage on this tool is too bad to be considered a decent weapon, but what if we can put Sharpness on it?

  4. Sword has more DPS than Axes, outside of disabling shields, no one actually uses axes as their main weapon.

    Spear does work better when paired with lunge and speed 2, allowing you to deal wacky damage or nothing at all. However for PvE it sucks and its slow.

    A dagger would need to have a gimmick like the mace/spear, having a shorter range and faster swing speed is not gonna cut it
