they get redunctant real quick since its all the same story, same plot and script, and some of them, even same ending

All games will have to die out soon but sad used to play this in 2020-2021 these games are also kind of repetitive

because brainrot slop is more addicting

Because when something’s extremely popular people will copy it, and the whole camping game genre got wayyyy oversaturated until it eventually completely died out

Because you beat it once, you’ve seen most of it. There’s not much of a reason to come back after the first play
After the success of the first few within the genre, dozens of copycat games came out that essentially follow the same plot but within a different setting, so eventually people just got bored and left.
It doesn’t help that they were often very difficult if you didn’t know what to do or what was coming, or if you were lobbied with people who all died immediately. (Of course, they conveniently added gamepasses to revive yourself)

it’s because these games are usually meant to be played once. add endings you expand the time
still, I wish they were still popular My favorites has to be horror portals, and circus trip, the Actor and design for giggler genuinely scared me back then “YOU HURT MY FEELINGS WHEN I FOUND OUT YOU DIDNT WANT TO PLAY WITH ME!”

It’s simple they got boring after a while like there’s no replayability once you get like one ending there’s practically no point to play anymore it’s the same with all the others once you played one you practically just played them all but I would love to see a remaster of the whole camping series one day

Sam got tired and wanted to move on and when he wanted to go back genre moved onto metaverse

You play them once, and there is no reason to play again, so player base dies out. The developer has to make part 2, part 3, and so on.

camping was the original and the one that did it the best imo, because you weren’t expecting it to be horror. the inspiration games leaned too much into story and dialogue where it wasn’t as exciting

break in has 1000x more replayability
these games are ALL 1 playthrough and done games
games like that do not last at all

They are like visual novel, you mainly come for the story and pretty much nothing else. Once you get to know the story, there is no reason to keep playing when it has done what it was made for: tell player their story

Camping is the godfather of all story games while Break In was the prime of story games.
Every other story game early on was still fresh and with new content. But after a while, it all just became the same story with different locations. I loved these games since you could really experience different situations with more people and it was really fun to see us barely cooperating to get the story done

because its a story game.
break in is somewhat an exception because theres a lot of stuff you can do and its a lot more replayable.
