dont use recall potions in average playthrouhs! In terraria when you have a magic mirror dont waste recall potions, instead shimmer them to get easy access to potion matieralls whitch will help you more than any recall potions
I get the impression none of this is true but I'm not certain enough to play into the joke Edit: it appears some are true. I'm still not convinced of others, like the bomb statue thing.
I cant tell if the bomb one is fake but In all my hardcore runs i use recall potions instead of Magic Mirrors because the near instant potion drink is SO much better than running around flailing trying not to get hit for .75 seconds. (its 4.5x faster if you care)
Don’t throw away your mirror; while recalls are faster, they’re singleuse. It’s good to have your mirror as a backup in case your stockpile runs out. And I’ve heard the mirror is the core for an incredibly powerful arcane artifact known as a Cell Phone…
counter argument.. the magic mirror upgrades into the shellphone.. which gives you all the map indicatiors, lets you know when a golden worm is around ( thank GOD for that) and lets you teleport streight to the center of hell, spawn, and either ocean on a click without having to set up a whole warp pad system.
I will never, NEVER, throw out my magic mirror. The only 2 times I would use recalls are in early game when I dont have mirror and hardcore. Even in hardcore its nice to have magic mirror as a backup for when you run out of recalls. Also cell and shelphone are only possible with the mirror
I have never once touched a recall potion once I get a magic mirror. Considering I don’t use it but once every ten to twenty minutes, a loss of two seconds isn’t that big a deal for guaranteed and always available return home

That's the point tho, potions are faster but they only last for a one use, mirror is slower but its forever
i play the game for too long to keep usign recall potions, mirrors are the way to go.

Mirrors are used in situations like you completed exploring this exact cave and recall positions tier 1 are like "HELP! MAHORAGA! HEEEELP! HEELP!"
Tier 2 recall potions (mostly found in hell) are great for when you have full inventory and need to go home leave there some loot and teleport back
