I’ve tried building a gnome farm and I got two right away and then nothing. My waiting area is far above the tree. I have two block tall space between levels where only gnomes should spawn. I’m clearing the surrounding area, but I feel I’m missing something… any ideas?

The area that enemies can spawn is a small border just outside your field of vision. If you are too far away from the platforms, nothing will spawn on them. I recommend having your afk platform to the left or right of the tree, barely far enough so that the spawning platforms are just off screen at max zoom out (I believe 81 blocks or so)
Also recommend using living wood instead of planks as your platforms ^-^
Increase enemy spawn rate at a Living Tree. Just destroy the solid blocks and let the naturally background walls.
for a larger spawn area you can now shimmer dirt walls to get natural dirt walls, these walls can also spawn gnomes so the whole living tree isnt needed anymore, this is a brand new feature though for PC.
