I finally did a run taking the Joja Route. I feel like I should feel bad, but it was genuinely so much more relaxing. No worrying that I wouldn't have enough gold crops, or that I wouldn't catch a fish before the season ended. Just handing over money to help the community when I had it available. I got all the work done before the end of Fall!
Plus I didn't have to deal with those ghosts or rats that were in the old building.

I prefer Joja. Theatre location. Can buy auto petters. Later hours to buy seeds.

Same here. Did community center first, then tried Joja on my second run. Way more relaxing but it kinda lost the challenge without the checklist to chase

I did the Joja once, for the achievement. Gameplay wise they’re way better. Closer to mine carts, Clint will keep working at Fridays, you get auto-petters (i only managed to get a single one EVER in community center runs).
But that’s it. I like the challenge of Community Center more, plus this game for me it’s awesome for the roleplaying, and well, for me simply doesnt make sense for you to join the same corporation that basically gave you a mental breakdown that you had to move to the countryside. It’s all for the profit,
I would love for the community center to have more activities, people would go to it more and interact there. It would be fun to be able to use a kitchen there, a sewing machine or things like this. Take your kids there to play and so on.

I’ve restarted the game sooooo many times and after doing the community center a few times, it’s just too stressful and I only go joja now. esp if foraging isn’t your main aspect of fun in the game

did the joja route for the first time a week ago, honestly i thought i’d feel bad but it made me realize two things; the community center could be utilized better after completing it and even though morris is supposed to be the shady money laundering character of pelican town, pierre is just as bad if not worse
omg the joja route is lowkey so much less stressful than the community center.. i always feel guilty doing it but like, no more panicking about missing a seasonal fish is kinda worth it.
joja run is basically “i chose violence against pierre’s monopoly and honestly the lack of fish anxiety is worth selling my soul” energy. Congratulations’😉
