My step mom plays a lot of rpg games in her free time to relax, and she really realllyyy enjoyed animal crossing. Upon hearing that, I knew sheโ€™d love Stardew. Was telling her to get it for like a year straight, and she kept saying she was waiting for it to go on sale (I donโ€™t think she was looking hard enough, lol). So probably two months ago now, I bought it for her on the switch 2. She hasnโ€™t stopped playing it since she started haha. At least once a week I get an update text of something new she discovered or an achievement she unlocked, and it couldnโ€™t make me happier. Just before this we were talking about how she found her first prismatic stone, to which she asked if it could be put in the crystallarium ๐Ÿ˜‚She doesnโ€™t want the big tips, or spoilers, sheโ€™s genuinely playing for the love of the game. And it makes me so so happy. God, do I love this game and the community that surrounds it. Thanks Stardew for being Stardew.

I wonder if it’s more ethical to tell her about what she should really use that prismatic shard for before she even thinks about donating it to the museum or keep her experience completely spoiler free.

This is one game where I wish I could erase my memory about and play and learn for the first time again. Love Stardew!! โค๏ธ
