She is not much of a gamer. I had recently purchased a steam deck and she wanted to play something on it. I told her stardew valley is pretty good but like any non gamer she straight up refused saying she doesn’t like those kinds of graphics and would prefer more realistic graphics.

But after watching a few videos she agreed to atleast try. Now she has created a steam account, added my account as family and downloaded it on her macbook.

She even connected it to our TV and has been playing non stop😭 I am not able to watch anything as she has been constantly playing it on the TV.

Btw my controller has also been compromised when she found out it works with Mac. Atleast my steam deck is still with me :’)

Sounds like a conversation about boundaries is needed, or she needs her own tv to play it on

I would say the problem is that you’re not helping out with the chickens

you introduced her thinking you’d have something to do together and instead you lost your tv, your controller, and probably your macbook soon. tale as old as time

  4. Play with her or get a second TV. Girl’s just having genuine fun for once. It’s rare to find a game that ensnares you so completely, don’t turn it into a problem, support her passion.

  5. The only option is get addicted too 🐷🐓🌾. You already tried the coop ? Is amazing!! I love that game .

My husband and I are in the same boat.. first day we played we sat there for TWELVE HOURS. 9am to 9pm. We’re still addicted but.. we shower now, at least. /s

hook her up with her own setup and rip coop. there are worse problems to be had than this lol

  8. Sorry that’s not your GF anymore, she has become one with the valley.

But hey, you can still see her in co-op! Even romance her!

You dug your own grave bud. I did the same before towards my college classmates. This one girl told me she was bored during lecturer and I told her to buy Stardew Valley since it was on sale. She ended up getting addicted and spread it to her friends in class. Half of the classroom ended up playing Stardew at one point lol.
