Possibly they are ‘stuck’ trying to get back to the coop and are somewhere on your farm, maybe behind
tree’s, where you can’t intially spot them.

Try opening your menu and look for the animals tab, see if they are still there?

Kidding! Anyway do one/some/all of these:
1. Check your animals tab if they are all still there
2. Restart the day, or
3. Leave the coop door open and they should be back the next day

i suggest building a hardwood fence around your coops and barns with a gate!!

On a side note, that area is the only spot you can use sprinklers on that farm. You might want to consider finding a different spot for your buildings.

It is a bug. You wont be able to add any animals to the coop/barn either.
You now have a shed camouflaged as a coop! Our barn is filled with preserve jars.

They’ll head home, as long as the barn door is open, around sunset.
I never shut their door unless it’s raining or it’s winter. They free range all over the place.
