I cannot begin to explain why, but my Guide absolutely refuses to walk through the front door. He started doing this at night as I was finishing the house up, and there were demon eyes bouncing around on the roof so I assumed he was trying to avoid the monsters, but when I lured them to the other side of the house and killed them he still refused to walk through the door, I eventually just had to move off screen so he would teleport inside. Now he's walked out the door again and he still refuses to go in.
I thought it might have had something to do with the wood pillars since they're technically solid blocks, but then I remembered he walked right through them in the clip and just bounced off the door, can anybody explain what's going on?

have u tried opening the door?
does the door open inwards? if so it might be a weird pathfinding bug
I know the sofa counts as a comfort item, but I’ve had similar troubles get fixed by including a chair as well.
NPCs want to sit in chairs at night regardless of what other valid comfort items may be in their houses.
the Guide is edging you >:)
Tried adding a chair and removing the platforms but the Guide still won’t open the doors.
I noticed he is acting really weird, he just keeps running back and forth like he’s fleeing from enemies or something, and I’m pretty sure terraria had an update today, so I think it might just be a glitch
