i was going to comment about the US government farming ~11k king slimes to pay off the national debt but then i realized the slime crown crown uses about 3.72 cubic meters of gold to craft making melt profit impossible, instead i looked at the platinum crown, this comes out to a cost of 5.26 billion USD and once again would fail to make a profit. now we have mined about 422 cubic meters of platinum total in the world so if we managed to use it all to make crowns , we would get about 113 king slime fights out of it. this is ~120 cubic meters of gold and a massive fucking worldwide platinum shortage.
Imagine the crown being made as "merch" and it sells for the amount calculated in this video

Given the size of king slime’s gems compared to the ones you use to make the crown, I feel like it would make more sense if his big gem is actually a bunch of really tiny gems he takes from the world and crowns you make and holds together with slime to make his crown

I feel like the fact that the origin of the crown and gemstones being tied to a giant living blob of gel and nothing else would also contribute a lot to it being priceless. I can see museums and science organisations going feral for it just because of how strange the origins are
