Damn the Sulfur Cube minigames are gonna hit so hard

Tbh the sulfur caves look… kinda crappy? It just looks like jarring patches of color tossed into a normal cave
The sulfur cube is sick has hell though, means we can basically now create full-on sports with a ball that actually works properly

MINECRAFT DUNGEONS 2?

So nothing USING sulfur was added. Just a mod that will be useful in mini games and a new building block.
Edit: so, another update I will ignore as it wont benefit my solo world 🙁 (maybe I’ll use the sulfur block to build, but that’s it.)

Who describes gameplay as “crunchy”?

They asked which colors were lacking on a poll. People mostly said blue’s and we got red and yellow.

the sulfur cube is lowk the type of shit your brain makes up in a dream and makes you wonder what you took before you went to sleep

I feel this drop is heavily inspired by Hermitcraft minigames
Cool I guess, but nothing game changing. I liked the new blocks though

First thing I said seeing the cubes was that reddit will hate this.
It looks fun and will get people doing all kinds of creative things, thats what minecraft needs. fun tools in a sandbox game.

Why not make the Cinnabar toxic like in real life? Imagine all the mercury gases escaping from the stone when you smelt it

We don’t need more Minecraft spinoffs bro just focus on making the main game better

The new chiseled sulfur blocks looking like gold is kinda funny, might just start calling that block Fools Gold

I can’t help but feel underwhelmed?
I know it’s not everything revealed for the next game drop.
But ketchup and mustard coloured blocks? They just look too jarring in the generation, and not in a nice way. But that’s subjective, I guess.
The sulphur slime seems alright, and useful for mini games. But I can’t help but feel there’s not much that can be used with the sulphur slimes, that armour stands couldn’t do with modified attributes.
I admit, this is just a downer of a comment, but it’s just my opinion, not a fact, and I’m not telling you how to feel.
EnigmaticGolem on
So the sulfur isn’t even an item? Hopefully the actual drop has more than they showed at the live.
A new cave biome is really cool but the gameplay of it looked pretty boring since there are no enemies or dangers and you only go there for building blocks. I think lush caves should be the only safe underground biome

Why do they have a pre AND post show for a 5 minute event?

So a couple of cool building blocks, a mini-game mob and….? any actual use cases for general gameplay? Or is this just another surface-deep drop (like most of them) that will feel quite segmented and slightly underbaked? It might be too early to judge, but I can’t help but doubt.

Idea: you can now craft gunpower with sulfur and charcoal

* Sulfur is cool I guess, but there’s gotta be more to whatever “potent sulfur” is
* Cinnabar is whatever, yet another red building set was very far down on the list of desires
* The sulfur cube is fine, it’s got a quirky gimmick that people to use in amazing ways. But I can’t help but feel like it’s disconnected from the world.
* Honestly I wish the sulfur cave biome was found in the Nether instead, though that’d remove the sulfur pools being an option unless they want to permit water in that dimension.

Let us extract mercury from cinnabar, a new fluid that flows like lava but inflicts poison instead of dealing damage, could be useful for farms and such

My friends on Discord knew about sulfur because of Camman, but when we realized it was literally just another yellow building block, we laughed so hard.
Unstable_Bear on
Looking at the new caves, they lack any of the eeriness that every previous cave has. This looks far too friendly, not like a dangerous place where treasure might await.
I think the sulfur cubes are a great addition though.
I think a way they could’ve improved the caves would be to have them be the home territory of creepers, cuz y’know, the whole sulfur thing
Dray_Gunn on
The sulphur cubes should have special reactions to using a slime block or honey block on them. Extra bouncy with slime cube and sticky with honey cube. I wanna see it stick to walls and slowly slide down.

Okay all cool and all but WHAT WAS THAT PORTAL AT THE END. i know it’s for dungeons but maybe they’re teasing something else for the main game as well
