  1. Yea… We already had red block covered by mangrove and yellow by bamboo, so I don’t really care about those new blocks. The diversity to cave biome is appreciated though.

Still waiting for actual blue block brick/plank.

It’d be cool it they made iron spawn more in these, to give you an actual reason to come

  3. It feels very bare. Glad we’re getting some new blocks but I feel like there should be some more block decorations in those caves? Vents, plants, mushrooms, something?

I think at this point the only way we will get stuff we want is if we dont ask for it…

I’m so disappointed, the new blocks feel super niche, just more stuff to clutter the inventory while caving. The new mob is also kinda meh. I’d much rather wait a long time to have an update that actually made sense and that addressed relevant parts of the game that feel barebone (even though it’s not gameplay, the migration of java to vulkan is a great example of this), instead of just two or three random things they thought of just to pad out the game even more.

finally a new biome and full block sets added after a year and a half!! I hate to be that guy but… this finally feels like a good old Minecraft update you’d expect in 2020/2021

  7. I think the team could reduce its staff to 10%. Don’t need that much personnel cost.

To remind everyone: These are the first new full blocks we got since the Pale Garden update. Which is 1.5 years ago.

I can’t be the only one who thinks this vaguely looks like the Terraria underground desert

So I’m imagining will need like glowstone to light up the caves, cause any fire will surely cause an explosion, no?

  11. Moans asked the community what other color building blocks we need: majority said blue

    Red and yellow blocks instead

At this point give us brick, slab, and stairs of concrete please

  12. Hey at least I don’t have to wait for all my client-sided mods to update to latest. It doesn’t seem like I’m missing out on much by sticking to 1.21.11 anyway

  13. While expanding the selection of blocks is always nice for building, it’s incredibly disappointing that these blocks have no uses outside of that. In my opinion the shown “biome” also just kinda looks like a mess/visual clutter of colors.
Even the mob has no practical uses that anyone would be using realistically in a survival world. It’s purely for minigames. Also to me it just doesn’t make a lot of sense. Why is it the only slime not hostile? Why does it “eat” blocks? What does Sulfur have to do with that at all? Why does it have a facial expression of having seen some stuff?
I feel like the normal slime is more suited for that as it seems much more actually bouncy/sticky fitting for a “ball” or “eating” blocks.

  14. That’s awesome! I’ve wanted a way to get gunpowder other than creeper farms, and this is the answer I’ve been waiting for 🙂

  15. I was half right! I said new biome revolving sulphuric things, but I said volcano. I’ll take it still, you’re welcome everyone.

I wasn’t wrong about the sulphuric slime though!

New cave biomes in drops is awesome. This is exactly what drops should be. Hopefully they can alternate between this and nether biomes

I hope you can craft gunpowder with coal and sulfur that would make the most sense

  18. I don’t know if this is really “realistic” or reasonable, but I was kinda disappointed that the caves filled with literal sulfur don’t really seem that volatile.

Like doesn’t sulfur have a bunch of funky chemical reactions? The closest we’ve seen to that is the water making you feel funny. Let me put the ice in the Denny’s air fryer Mojang, I want to see things explode and burn.
