Why don’t people create more story-driven games on Roblox?

It gets repetitive and nowadays it’s not worth putting effort into games if you wanna be making real money off it.

It was just a fad that came and went, they remind me of all those Piggy clones.

stories are mostly played just once, maybe twice if there’s secrets or difficulty meters. then theres nothing to do. playing over like 5 times is not fun because you already know how the game would go

i believe block tales peaked around over 50k players but after a few weeks it diminished to less than 5k

unless a story driven game can introduce a new chapter of story weekly (impossible) it is very hard to have a consistent and stable playerbase

Better off creating it as a passion project because you shouldn’t expect much income from these type of games, but i like them though

i mean its a one time play game for most people unlike games with a progression system or combat against other players

If people made em they have to have a unique randomness to them every time or people are gonna play once and never again
