I found the shimmer pool in my world, but it's within the underground jungle. Because of this, I can't make an underground pylon to it. And I don't want to put my jungle pylon there. Is there an easy way to remove the jungle from around the shimmer pool in pre-hardmode? Would purification powder do the trick?

You can throw a random pylon into the shimmer and it makes an Aether pylon
you could wire a teleporter, had the same problem in my last world
