Unfortunately not happening because Mojang seems to have forgotten that they’re making a GAME instead of an educational medium

Mojang just be making tech demos and adding them to minecraft and calling it an update

That’s honestly what I want the most is a big update full of mobs with cool behaviours and a bunch of new plants. The world has such amazing biodiversity and I think Minecraft could benefit from having a bit more.

They still add real animals like the armadillo was not too long ago. I think it’s a very selective process and Minecraft being the biggest game in the world I understand where they’re coming from with the caution of adding certain animals even if I do think their reasoning is quite silly, they don’t want to take any unnessecary risks.

They would never..

Does the game really need more real animals at the moment?
I wouldn’t mind them adding more aquatic animals, I guess, but only if they’re useful. Otherwise, animals are the easiest way for Mojang to bloat the game with niche, one use items, so I don’t want more of them if they’ll keep compounding that issue, and not give neglected animals like armadillos and sea turtles more uses

They should add sharks!

i’m all for the bear and whale in deep ocean biomes make perfect sense. not so keen on the flamingo though, they would need their own specific biome.
in my 1.20.1 modded world one of the first things I added was a grizzly bear because it is so common sense and easy to do, it just fits.

Thats why I love and can’t play MC without Alex Mobs mods installed..

If it exists in Minecraft, technically you can kill it. That would mean same you happen irl in mojangs logic. So they don’t add them

get the naturalist addon if ur playing on bedrock. it includes like 100 new animals, with new loot, tools and each animal has nice realistic animations. the moddles fit perfectly into minjecraft too

Are you crazy? Mojang would die of exhaustion if they did that 😭

We’ve got vultures, meerkats, ostriches, and termites coming to the game… eventually. Maybe.
I also really think Mojang should add a bird mob that functions similarly to the tropical fish where it uses a bunch of different combinations of shapes and colors to recreate various bird species as a single mob. This way we can get cardinals, blue jays, chickadees, finches, etc. Have them drop feathers and maybe add a bird nest item that we can use to assign them to a home as a way to tame them as pets. It’d bring a ton of life to the overworld.
