  1. Are people really eating up this slop? It looks like a poorly made add-on that I definitely wouldn't add to my world. I hope I'm wrong, but this seems lackluster.

  2. it would be so cool if creepers spawned more in the sulfur caves it makes sense as they drop gunpowder and it fills the gap of mobs having a place they spawn in more often (spawners structures ect.)

  3. Am I the only one who finds this extremely underwhelming and unnecessary? I mean the caves already got like 5 updates recently when they could update something like the ocean or the end. Not only was it not needed but it just doesn't seem very exciting, just more like an update I'll forget about with blocks I'll never uses because of their ugly looks.

  4. Right now there doesn't seem to be a good reason to be there. The mob is useless in survival mode, the blockset is nice yes, but I don't think that should be the only reason to go there. For Dripstone caves we go there for copper in bulk. In the Lush Caves we go there for Axolotls. Deep Dark we go there for the Ancient city. What value will the Sulfur caves bring the player? Will it give us another way to craft explosives?

  5. Hear me out… new snowy cave biome (frozen cave)+ new mob spawning in it or on surface. The snowy spider – white spider wich gives us a slight snowy update… and would cou t as an artropod mob.

  6. People used to grind up cinnabar and use it as pigment. It's banned now because of its high toxicity but it was redder than any red lake or madder lake around at the time as well as being more vibrant than red ochre. I've seen some vermilion objects in a museum but in a hermetically sealed display case.

  7. Ever since glow lichen was added (which I believe was the same update that changed block light propagation to make light sources cover a bigger area), hostile mob spawning has been limited to just light level 0, with slimes able to also spawn in light level 1. Lighting no longer needs to be bright to be effective at spawn-prevention now, it just has to be brighter than a…bedrock enchanting table?

  8. I hope they eventually add surface sulfur biomes, cause surface sulfur pools exist irl as well!
I DO feel like it was a missed opportunity for them to add Hot Spring water as a liquid, but I guess sulfur fumes aren't very beneficial to you compared to the health benefits of a hot spring.

  9. Since the Sulfur Cave seems pretty similar to the β€œCreeper Homestead” from Minecraft Legends, it’d be awesome if this biome had a much higher creeper spawn rate to really match that theme and make it feel more unique and dangerous.

  10. Chaos Cubed suggests not just the new Slime Mob but maybe 3 whole new chaotic biomes like the new sulfur caves. So maybe we will also get an ice cave as well with a Frost version of the slime cube. I would love to see an Ice Cave biome on top of the nether ceiling
