They are best planted in the greenhouse or on Ginger Island for this reason. I often fill my entire greenhouse with ancient fruit and iridium sprinklers so I can have a constant supply of ancient fruit to go into the kegs.
Seasonal changes have caught us all out once or twice!

I’m almost on year 4 and I have donated everything to Gunther EXCEPT THE ANCIENT SEED!!!!! I even have an ostrich egg. I’m desperate y’all. I’m so jealous. I wish I could make this mistake but I don’t even have one ancient seed to plant 😭

Only time I plant them outside on my man farm is if I find one very early in Spring year one. Otherwise .. greenhouse. But .. after summer, it’s strictly greenhouse or Ginger Island.
