Craftable gunpower would be nice, but should need an extra step that isn't instantaneous; the furnace or the brewing stand could do.
edit : Instead of Sulfur Block, you could use Potent Sulfur, so the furnace is drying it, since it is generated under water

Nice idea, but I don’t know how much player could actually use that since gp is trivially easy to get
Creeper farm is better
I like this, it gives the player more options for getting gunpowder
Should output 4 sulfur dust. 4 sulfur dust together makes a new sulfur block.
They could let you use sulfur powder on crops to increase the yield too
Sulfur powder into Flamecloak Potion, which behaves like the Skyrim spell.
I’m no scientist or expert or anything but I’m pretty sure burning sulfur is very toxic and it probably wouldn’t leave anything left because it’s very combustible.
But I still love the idea, I think it should just drop when mined the block (and then block could be obtained with Silk Touch).
I like this cause tbh the drop rate sucks when you’re farming gunpowder organically
