Legit way meaning NO staircases at all?
I finally made it to 100 recently but probably used about 6 staircases. On floors that were obviously bad and thin and also when I got to floor 98/99 I realized I could just finish it off instead of hunt for those last stairs.
It was about 11pm when I finally made it.

Ive read that you can use 10 staircases I think without it being considered unhonorable. Correct me if I’m wrong!

Grats! It’s the only way to go. By setting that goal, you’re guaranteed to be overflowing with ore, monster drops, maybe a few prismatic shards, and if you’re lucky a few autopetters. I do it every time.
