I haven't really seen anyone talk about them, like at all. Curious to see how you all think of them!

very nice. it’s nice seeing a company try to be more diverse. and the avatar creator has lots of options for different skin tones, hair types, prosthetics etc. I’m sure there’s a lot of kids who feel more seen bcuz of this ❤

  2. They’re aight. Imo the problem is that there’s too many of them. Picking like 2-3 to be added probably would make them far more memorable.

  3. I like them well enough.

They feel sufficiently minecraft-y, and give people more options than just Steve or Alex.

I hold no strong opinion about them though tbh

free, zero-effort, decent quality skins that anyone can choose when the start the game? i have no problems with it.

I wish we could’ve gotten different body types. Alex gave us slimmer arms. What if we had a shorter body? A model with thicker arms? Shorter or longer legs? A combination of any of these? Could’ve opened a lot of possibilities with skins.

  6. They look fine but I use a custom skin so it’s not really something I will use. They look cute though.

I almost associate Sunny as my friends because they never change their default skin since the update was released

  9. I forgot about their names right after they were added. Never seen anyone use them(most people I interacted with use custom skins) and i honestly don’t care. I like the one of the robot arm tho

They’re okay. I’m sure with time they’ll be as iconic as the other two, but I think what made Alex’s introduction as a new alternate default skin was a combination of there only being Steve initially and, more importantly, the introduction of a NEW BODY TYPE.

Initially, Steve was the only default skin *and* body type, the 4 pixel-wide arms, to Minecraft, so what you had is what you get. However, with the introduction of Alex and her body type of *3* pixel-wide arms, people got a lot of use out of having slimmer arms.

Years later, and not only do the new skins come as a bundle all together, making their individuality less impactful, but they also don’t bring any new body types or new cosmetic features to the game. It’s not to say they’re bad per say, just… Not as interesting as the last two.

Imagine if one of the new skins came with a new body type, like even SLIMMER arms, or a more bulky physique like Axel from Minecraft: Story Mode. Personally, one of my favourite interpretations of the new skins are the artworks by user ‘Teachiisan’ (Instagram/DeviantArt) where’s she more muscular/butch than the other two, which I think is a very fun compliment/contrast to the other two characters, Steve and Alex.

  11. They are cool but i really wish we got some sort of in launcher skin maker that gave presets and just let you swap them out. Easy way to make your own custom skin without being good at pixel art

They’re not iconic in the slightest and their addition feels forced, not to mention that Steve and Alex get significantly less characterisation in the trailers, with all of the skins acting like bouncy everymen

I’m fine with the diversity – I just don’t think the character models are very well done or interesting.

  14. I have no issue with them but I still see no reason for them to exist. The only reason Alex exists was because of the addition of the slim model, in a game with a skin system like this the idea of adding a bunch of diverse skins just feels pointless

Underutilized in the animations/lore. I want to see them given more defined personality traits.
