Having multiple saves: do you marry/room with the same npc or try a variety?


I want to see the rest of the character’s arcs but I am a fool for Elliott and he was my first perfection husband. I know it sounds weird and lame but after spending a year and a half in real time married to him and pursuing perfection, I’m just attached lol. Anybody else do this?

    i have married abigail on every single save file since i was like 9 (i first started playing as a kid on my dad’s laptop) and i don’t think that’s changing any time soon

    I go the roommate route now every time with Krobus and just change around who i date on saves

    I tell myself I’m going to marry someone new, but then Sebastian and our frog son swoop in out of nowhere

    it’s either Shane or nobody for me, always… I’m not choosing anyone over my husband! ♡

    I date everyone to see who catches my eye and I go back to Elliott every time.

    It’s Harvey every time. I’ve married every man by Seb and one of them do anything for me but Harvey so I always end up marrying him eventually

    I always tell myself I’ll try marrying someone different, but I always end up with Leah, Penny, or Sebastian.

    Why do I feel like people who like Elliott tend to always pick him? Obviously, people do this with every NPC, but he’s the one the gets brought up the most it seems. Im sure there’s someone out there that always marries Harvey, but I’ve never seen em.

    I’ve started new saves on multiple occasions with the intention of romancing other characters. And every single time, I end up with Harvey.

    I do a lot of role playing in my games and who I marry will depend on the character I’m playing. I’ve married a variety of the options but there are a few I do not enjoy being married to.

    Everytime I think I’m going to finally marry Penny, I end up marrying Haley again.

    I’ve been married to Penny once, Shane twice, and Harvey x infinity.

    I was going to marry Leah once, but the whole thing with her ex gave me the ick.

    I like to see variety, but there is one I’ll NEVER marry, and that’s Shane

    I usually marry sebastian but I’ve made saves recently where I married sam in one and elliot in the other; I wasn’t really that interested in elliot before but seeing all the posts here about him really made me wonder what he was like as a partner and he’s just been the cutest 😭

    I normally marry Harvey, but in this playthrough I’m going to try to marry Harvey…. I mean Harvey. Not Harvey… Harvey! Damnit! I’m going to marry Harvey.

    I tell myself that I will marry Elliott in new saves, just to see Sebastian and marry him each time. The emo man and our froggy children compel me

    I’ve married Elliot, Sebastian, Maru, Shane, and roomed w Krobus. This time I’m dating everybody! Might still room w Krobus, unsure. I’ve enjoyed dating Haley and Harvey enough, I might marry them some day.

    I’mma marry me Clint first chance I get.

    I’ve dated Elliott and Sam (and abandoned those saves), pursued Harvey then pivoted to and married Sebastian, and in my current, by far most progressed game, I am married to Sam. So I really have a hard time choosing. However, I have been most pleased with Sam. He is very sweet, if a bit immature.

    I wish we had some more older bachelors, as my choices have been the younger crowd and as someone who is 35 I still feel a bit weird with Sebastian and now Sam.

    I am not romantically inclined to but absolutely love friendships with Krobus, Haley, Shane, Leah, and Penny. I have no interest in Abigail and Maru since they feel like teenagers to me. Emily is fine.

    I wish I could marry Kent (sorry Sam, your dad’s way more my type!.. or hell, lemme have a go at Willy or Marlon lol), but I am genuinely curious about Sandy and will make a new farmer to pursue her. Clint’s failings are his “nice guy” attitude and obsession with Emily/comments on the farmer even just being her friend. I know CA has something up his sleeve with his adjustments to make him way more likeable.

    Now that I’ve married everyone once (mostly in a save where I did lots of divorces and remarriages), I marry Elliot every time. But I do also date and get ten hearts with everyone every time.

    Elliott is my favorite. But Alex and Haley I also super adore.
    I always want Krobus but he isn’t a romance interest and he doesn’t stick around if you have a spouse. It’s cool to have a platonic option. I like the idea of just living with a friend in games like this.

    I have 7 different farms and while I do usually marry someone new on each my saves, both for RP reasons and because fictional divorce makes me sad, (Abigail, Elliot, Harvey, Haley, Shane, and Leah have all had turns), I did cheat and do Leah twice. I missed my hippie artist wife 🙁
