Yo guys, I am kinda new to minecraft modding and was wondering what are some mods that can minecraft visually more appealing without use of shaders, I only know the faithful texture pack and someone recently shared Shine which adds bloom and it looks so good, was just wondering what are some other mods for Java (1.21.1).

modrith or curseforge website thats where you want to check.
shaders are the best for “more appealing”
then comes various resource packs any texture is just .png so it can be any png
the problem is most people cant afford anything too crazy because the loss of perfomance is too big so x32 or x64 is max
then because it can be any png the style matters a lot so if you want vanilla like then faithul etc is good choice otherwise you can look on modrith for packs like Alacrity etc that are not vanilla like.
then comes various mods for biomes, world generation, more animal mobs etc.
again it depends on your own preference jj thunder to the max, Tectonic, Terralith, biomes of plenty etc are all popular choices.
then various mods that add more building blocks etc like decorations that you can use.
Distant Horizons ([Curseforge](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/distant-horizons)/%5BModrinth%5D(https://modrinth.com/mod/distanthorizons)) is a good one. It doesn’t change textures or add bloom or lighting or anything, but you can lower your render distance and have the mod take care of rendering more distant terrain so it can look [like this](https://media.forgecdn.net/attachments/475/3/unknown.png) without eating all your RAM (it still has to generate chunks to render them though, so it will still impact performance initially, while generating chunks in a big radius around you).
Also compatible with Iris shaders if you do decide to use them to make it look [like this](https://media.forgecdn.net/attachments/880/251/misty-mountain-sarge.jpg).
There is stuff like visual effects plus which adds tons of new particle effects and other things like fog an stuff
