Bee keeper and magic missile are probably a good weapon choice to carry you to WoF, idk about the blue moon, never been in to these types of weapons. But that is just me

Just keep in mind higher damage doesn’t always equal a Better weapon

Generally speaking, items gotten later in progression are better. Bee keeper dropped from queen bee, a boss right before skeletron progression wise. Blue moon and magic missile are both from the dungeon, meaning they are effectively skeleteon drops, so they are generally speaking stronger.

However, blue moon is a flail, which are kinda weird to use since you can spin it quickly at the cost of virtually no range, or toss it in which case it is really slow.

Magic missile is decently good, being a magic weapon with good range and importantly homing. It just sucks to use though since you have to keep clicking and letting go rapidly to get the best use out of it. And being a magic weapon it needs mana, which is a bit annoying to have to deal with.

All are pretty good I’d say. Bee keeper is particularly good for its tier so it isn’t *that* much weaker than stuff from the dungeon, so if you like the sword attack animation you can absolutely keep using it.

As for classes, those don’t really matter yet, though they will soon ish. Main thing about them is just that it is best to not try mixing them. If you got melee gear on using ranged weapons will not be good, especially since there are plenty of melee weapons with projectile attacks, so you will just be doint less damage for no reason.

Also there is an item you should really get now that you have access to the bones dropped by skeletons in the dungeon, the void bag. I won’t say what it does just make one. Ask the guide what you can make with bones for the recipe.

  4. Bee Keeper is probably the best of these objectively, particularly if you have the accessory from queen bee on expert.

Btw, who cares about classes and meta. Use what you think is cool and if it ends up not being strong enough – look for more cool shit. Most people don’t really stick to 1 class for a playthrough, not in the beginning. I think 1 class runs are looked at as challenge runs. I mix-match shit all the time.

If you’ve got a blue moon already I recommend picking up a Sunfury to go with it. Both activate at the same time.

Magic Missile is in a kind of weird point in progression as there’s another, better weapon of its type that can be obtained pretty much immediately after it, though if you’re interested in magic weapons you’ll see it’s a material for a pretty damn good weapon later in the game. Like any other magic weapon, you really want to drink mana regen potions when using it.

Between Bee Keeper and Blue Moon i’d go Bee Keeper, but i will say that you should keep exploring the dungeon until you have opened all of its chests, there are many more goodies in there.

  8. Mage: dick around in the underworld killing stuff for a while.

Melee: ask the guide about what you can do with that sword you can make from demonite or crimtane bars.

Ranged: go open up the shadow chests in the underworld.

Summoner: mine some hellstone, get some bones or stingers and check what you can make with them.

Beekeeper, BUT in the new update they added a ” synergy ” for Blue Moon and this other mace that I don’t remember it’s name

  10. Magic missile is my personal favorite. The homing projectile is so satisfying to both control and just let loose to let it chase after enemies.

Terraria doesn’t have classes, it’s just that a lot of people love challenges because they’ve played the shit out of this game so they’ll do a pure mage or whatever run. No need to worry about that for now.

The blue moon is great for when you get your hands on it, especially for worm like things. The magic missile is amazing for exploration, but it’ll be hard to use regularly for combat wince it is mana demanding. The combo of vee keep and magic missile will be great for general exploration, but keep that blue moon around just in case.

magic missle is only good if you have mage armor on. this is because mage armor has mana bonuses and stuff.

the other two are both good depending on the enemy. bees knees is good in general, blue moon is good against crowds and multi-segmented enemies

also don’t listen to people telling you not to mix classes. just choose whatever weapon is easy to use and gives you the best damage. The traveling merchant sells a dps meter that displays your current damage per secomd

  13. Try them all out, see which ones you prefer.

It can also be useful to have multiple weapons for multiple situations. The Magic Missile has much more range than the others, but can be awkward to use up close.

  14. Notice how magic missile and bee keeper are both materials? Ask the guide what you can craft from them. 🙂

I don’t rate maces in terraria, I think they kind of suck.

The bee keeper is a good sword for now but it will start to fall off quickly, i’d still use it for now.

Magic missile is a viable ranged option if you like it. I personally prefer bows.

You can use multiple weapons for different purposes. The Magic Missile is great for dealing damage at range or controlling your projectiles to go behind walls, and it never hurts to carry a melee weapon as a last resort for when enemies get in your face or you run out of mana/ammo.
