I wanted to turn the quarry into a forest of sorts (for wood, mushrooms and for syrup)

Do you think my wild trees will grow like this or do you think the path will restrict its growth?

And yes, I just saw that I missed a spot

  1. As long as the are maple, pine, and oak I believe they will grow fruit and unsure of mystics need empty space

They’ll grow, paths and stumps won’t restrict their growth unless they’re fruit trees

Edit to add: make sure to leave a tree and stump by your house that is aligned with your Quarry Forest (Quorrest?) so you know when to go check it for goodies!

  3. Oh they will grow, i did the same in my quarry. But do not grow at the same speed

Some will be full grown in a few weeks, others may take months, just be patient

I’ve personally found that they grow faster/more consistently with 2 spaces between them, but that could be self-serving bias on my part

Edit: chamged confirmation bias to self-serving bias

No. They need the space next to be clear. Trees need 2 space apart. 1 tile clear for each tree. A single tree “claims” its tiles next to it. So that’s why you need 2 tiles of space.

Think of them as normal sprinkers.

I would fertilize the trees to assist growth but yes there’s no issue with that layout.

  7. Ok i am new to the game. But why? You can try other places such as near marnie’s ranch. Or backwoods or near robin’s house?

  8. Yeah they will grow but you totally should hit em with fertilizer. Helps the moss grow to and you get moss/mushrooms. 🙂
