All we want Mojang to do is expand on what they have already put into the game instead of adding more half-baked stuff that’s a one-time-see feature, like the archaeology features.
You get your sniffer egg, and boom, you never go to another archaeology site again.
I love the new update; it’s growing on me, but we have to agree it’s just adding to the pile of very disconnected things in the game that lack depth and soul.
Like the pale garden, it’s just “we added a new tree type, one mob, and made a whole biome out of this,” which leads to it lacking anything more than just “oh, new blocks I can build with.”
I don’t care if you call this complaining or annoying or anything because no matter how I word this you’ll get the Mojang Defense Squad ready to yell at you for not just uncritically enjoying everything and calling you “entitled”
Now im gonna sit here and eat my popcorn and read the comments

I like that update but I also understand the criticism. It’s not unreasonable but I’m still… uh… I stared at the screen for a full minute and forgot what I was talking about. 👍🏻

Alright, we get it. You don’t like the new update. You’re in good company- a great many people here don’t. I, however, do- quite frankly, I’m astonished they’re giving us anything. Also, who the hell said that “not everything has to have a use in singleplayer”? That’s one of like, three things in that tornado I disagree with.

It’s honestly ridiculous how people seem to think that giving some critique or showing concern regarding the direction that the game’s development is taking just automatically means we don’t like the game. Like I’d be happy to play Minecraft even if it never got an update, and it’s not unreasonable to be frustrated to see the glut of half baked ideas.
Unfortunately Reddit will always just be a toxic hellhole and shut you down the moment you express an opinion.

This game drop system is just so bad imo. I haven’t used any new feature of any update since the Tricky Trials one, besides the pale gardens. They were just so meaning and soulless.

I feel like because of how accessible the internet is, and how vocal people can be, it’s hard to determine whether it’s constructive criticism or genuine hate.
Now I do like the drop, is it perfect? No, but also there really isn’t much to be mad about by my own term.
