there are many complains about the sulfur pool being comically safe and not killing you
however now that we get to actually see the structure, its kinda clear that it was not a sulfuric acid pool
they added A HOT SPRING
it is very common for hot springs to be sulfuric and feeling dizzy is a common effect of being too long in a ho tspring, which is what the nausea effect does
this also links up with the short talking about relaxing in it

It’s still very hot water and sulfur compounds in the air, it’s dangerous regardless of not being composed of sulfuric acid.
