Even though it’s by no means a happy start, I just like watching it whenever I begin a new run. I don’t really know why.

  1. Also, I think that it would be cool if we got grandpa’s old sword as an available weapon in a future update.

Hardly relevant, but the idea popped in my head as I was posting this.

  2. NGL that bed is the reason it took me years to play Stardew Valley. My friend told me it was great, and I loved Harvest Moon games, but seeing the art at the beginning was such a deterrent.

    Me: I’m not superstitious.

Also me: Skipping the intro is *bad luck.*

I always skip accidentally 😭 I forget that pressing a button triggers the skip

it’s part of the game, skipping certain things makes zero sense imo. doesn’t matter how many times i’ve played, i want the whole experience no matter how small. creating anything takes hard work and passion and i respect those who do 💜🩷💜🩷

My grandpa passed before Stardew came out and meant a lot to me so I always tear up at the grandpa stuff and would never skip it :’)

I do skip it most times now, along with most cutscenes if I’m being honest… but one thing I will never skip is moonlight jellies.

I can’t skip it, I need to see that bed poor gramps is sleeping on lmao

  10. Only when I play dialogue mods (since I make a new save every time to get all of it) because I’m like “yeah yeah, just lemme get to the juicy stuff…” *rubs hands together like a fly*
(Tbf I have like 15+ save files. Never skipped the first 5 times around)

  11. I’m about to start a new save and can’t decide if I want to skip it or not 😭 i never have and i’ve started over 4 times but ever time i do get a little impatient
