Sorry if it’s a silly question I’m so bad at this game I’ve never done a solo farm before

(The crop in question is the one just to the right of my character btw if you couldn’t see it right away)

It’s probably lightning. You can plant lightning rods to help protect your crops from lightning strikes and produce batteries. Location doesn’t matter so long as it’s on your farm at all. Sometimes you just get unlucky and a crop gets hit anyway.

I always kept thinking the same thing, I’m in year 5 and every so often one of my blueberry or one of my cranberry plants just dies. Had plenty of scarecrows also. But from what i’ve seen a single crop just dies sometimes for no reason. So don’t worry your other crops are fine as long as you have scarecrows 🙂

Lightning. Off topic, move that upper scarecrow so that it’s aligned with the one on the left.

  4. Sprinklers help it grow, but a lack of water won’t kill your crops

Scarecrows do prevent crows. For any unprotected crops, the crow doesn’t kill it and leave a dead plant. It steals the whole thing and leaves an empty space

The two ways you get a wilted plant like this are 1) the season changed or 2) it got struck by lightning. Lightning rods help prevent unwanted lightning strikes. It’s not a guarantee that a lighting rod will get hit instead of a crop, but that’s what will happen most of the time. However, if all your lightning rods have been hit, there’s nowhere else for the lighting to go, and your crops are unprotected. Your odds of this happening are higher on good luck days, since high luck increases the number of lightning strikes

  5. I always thought it was over watering? I’ve noticed happening when I have both sprinklers and multiple days of rain
