    The gospel is the "good news" about Jesus Christ, specifically his death and resurrection, and the salvation it offers to humanity. It is the message that because of sin, humanity is separated from God, but Jesus's sacrificial death and subsequent resurrection have atoned for that sin. Therefore, through faith in him, people can be reconciled to God and receive forgiveness, eternal life, and a new relationship with him.
