I just fished him up (in the ocean) during a blood moon, after that a goblin army came so I teleported back to spawn and thought he would just move in. I talked to him once and I have a bunch of free housing, so I dont know what happened 🙁
did I need to talk to him again so he would actually move in? or is it because of the goblin event? I really have no idea.

He died, and will move back in soon.
NPCs can either die or leave if they are stuck at the centrepoint of a distress event. Don’t worry, they will reappear later if Valid housing is present.
