There was just a big hole in the ocean then the water just disappeared. This world also had the worst jungle generation I’ve ever had, i could only find one bee hive and it took like an hour
The big whole is common, what’s less common is that the bottom of it probably wasn’t sealed and your ocean got drained because of it.

These holes are normal and are usually filled with water aswell as the ocean, interesting to it like this…. base worthy building area? Or even an arena!
