For those of you who don’t leave the farm


I saw some people saying they do runs where they don’t leave the farm until they do/get/reach something specific.

My question is: how do you get resources? Just curious, ‘cause I thought this kind of thing could be really fun to do, but then I got stuck in this question. 😅

    I recently watched a video of someone not leaving the farm until they made 1,000,000g and they picked the four corners farm bc it had mixed seed weeds where they got seeds to plant and make money and the little quarry to mine copper to make tappers where they sold maple syrup and coal so they could make preserve jars for their crops.

    The Four Corners map is generally what people who do at-home-farming utilize to get resources. It gives you hardwood, ore, etc. that you need to craft various things. Tedious, it can be long, but also enjoyable.

    I’d probably break the rules just to buy pets though cause I mean, dogs? cats? turtles? more please.

    There’s a few series on YouTube of people doing it too! I recommend Poxial, he allowed himself one day at the start of every new year to go into town but otherwise stayed on his farm.

    I once did a Christmas themed farm where I was Santa and I could only leave the farm in the winter and it was very fun. I spend all year trying to make gifts. But I think a more fun challenge would be only leaving on the 24th of winter and ever any time other than that

    Never leaving the farm at all wouldn’t be fun because you can’t break the stumps or the rocks so idk how or why people would do that

    I have a save where I stay in the farm EXCEPT I am allowed to forage but only when it rains/snows and I have to immediately return home if I see another human.

    I did one prairie farmer style where you could go to town once a season and couldn’t buy anything from Pierre or Joja.

    The planning for what you did that one day was crazy, like go to robin and Clint and the beach, community center, etc

    Any equipment you upgraded had to be picked up the next season so it was a lot of go the last week and the first week.
