basically the title, i had an idea of putting a chest right here with most of my jades and staircases and food stuff for the caverns, im just very doubtful if its gonna disappear the next day or during festivals or anything? i play on pc if thats important.. thankyou 🙂
Also on a side note whats that big skull on the right side for?

I don’t think it’s safe and the skull is for activating the dangerous skull cavern
The chest will stay there, I put a small shipping bin there too because of when I have too much and it’s always been there
Yea its fine. I have 2 right next to the door and nothing happens to them
I’ve done this. It’s fine except during the calico festival, everything you put in the desert will disappear during the festival so if you need things for the festival/during the festival duration you absolutely need to retrieve them the day before the festival starts. Otherwise you’re good the rest of the year! Imagine my horror when I didn’t have all the cave things I needed for the festival 💀 learned the hard way lol

The skull on the right can be activated after you successfully complete the dangerous skull caverns Qi challenge (it’s one of the weekly ones in the golden walnut room on Ginger Island).
Your chest will still be there during the festival. In fact, that’s exactly where I place a Junimo chest. Anywhere inside that entryway area will be safe to place chests. 🙂
Yes it’s safe. There are websites to check villagers pathing on every map fyi

Completely safe. I have done this every playthrough with my girlfriend.
The only issue is that the chest will not be there during the calico festival (if you place it outside) as it is a different map being loaded during those days. It will still be there after the festival though!
I always keep chests in there, and a statue too. Haven’t had it disappear ever, in several saves over several years.
As you progress you can unlock another type of chest that is amazing to have near dungeons and a few other places.

I like to keep one in my house and have others at the mines, volcano, and skull cavern. It’s a quick way to store dungeon gear and access it anywhere. !<
That’s where I put my chest as well. It’s safe.
I leave my Desert Fest cactus there and it’s fine. 😊
