Penny loves them and that’s all that matters to me. I grow a whole field for her 🙂

Plot twist: The farmer is British and is trying to get the Chinese village of Pelican Town addicted to opium.

I gave Kent a poppy because I mistakenly saw that it was his favorite flower. Felt really bad afterward

Seems to be a bit tone deaf of the farmer to be handing out those while the war is still going on.

I mean they are a bit wispy. They like to grow in difficult terrain. Maybe that’s why? Not as pretty as other flowers?

Wikipedia also says they’re symbols of death. So maybe they’re just really superstitious.

poppy’s represent death where i’m from (england). when we see a field of poppies or a patch of poppies, you hear people say “a battle was there” or “someone died there”. since there’s a war in stardew and the death associate is because of war, that’s probably it.

I thought it would one of those blue jazz. Or any of the useless forge flowers.
