My votes go to Kent (military experience/equipment), Abigail (adventurer and young, possibly magic?), and Linus (survivalist/foraging/stealth) for a top three, besides the player character ofc. What do you think?

  1. Pierre is one of those people that die trying to carry out all of his money.

Willy takes all the people he can on the boat, but most certainly the kids first.

Shane will survive purely because all the other zombies mistake his tired face as being one of them and will leave him alone. Alex would tragically die first after doing an “awesome kung-fu move” that he saw on TV to take down the zombie horde.

  3. Maru dies early, after getting bit by Evelyn, who is patient 0 of the outbreak and ends up at the clinic. Harvey is wracked by survivors guilt because he wasn’t at the clinic (it was a Tuesday)

Penny: Final Girl trope she’s scared but smart enough to figure out survival and empathetic to all the other characters in town. Plus she knows the town layout best most likely.

Alex or Sam: First one to die aka the Jock/Idiot type.

Perrier and Lewis: Die but later on. They don’t fully get or believe what’s happening at first and think the younger folks are just freaking out.

Emily: Weird girl who has random knowledge of it and knows magic and stuff.

I’m sure I could think of stuff for the other ones but if you wanna know a quit list of who’ll die probably Shane (💔), Sebastian, Hailey, Harvey, Alex, Same, and Maru. For the love interest but I really like the final girl trope so I’d wanna say they all die but Penny.

  5. I have a weird vision of Abigail, Marnie, and Jas huddled together in Leah’s cabin while Leah effortlessly hauls big wooden sculptures in front of the door and windows to keep them all safe, and in the early morning Leah and Abigail take turns foraging and salvaging what they can from the ranch, looking for Shane.

Pam. hear me out! typical Pam has drunk
herself into passing out cold, flat on her face. she’s out cold for hours and the zombies pass her lifeless body.

Something I think that plays a big part of this is the passive magic SV has and how the Jumino and other elementals play into it. It’s hinted at in the main game that Pelican Town/SV is unusual with it’s ambient magic- the wizard even says he built his tower where it is because of the potency of the location. There may very wall be some sort of passive protection that either nerfs or outright prevents the invasion/infection.

If we take that away and place the villagers in a normal town of the same size in the RE universe, then the Wizard, Dwarf, and Krobus are definite survivors. Sam and Abigail likely survive due to youth and being similar to protagonist archetypes, with Marlon sacrificing himself to save them at some point. I also think Clint survives through his abilities and becomes a merchant for those passing through.

Alex goes down trying to save his grandparents with Haley refusing to leave him. Pam either goes down like a sack of bricks or dual wields shotguns successfully escorting the survivors out, there is no in between. Harvey likely dies trying to treat people before everyone realizes what’s going on. Maru would likely come up with a cure or a nuke but dies shortly before implementing it, requiring a protagonist to finish the job. Everyone else either hides, escapes, or dies unceremoniously.

  8. Emily. Seriously I think she could force them into thriller dancing. Abigail also one shots wilderness golems

sebastian survives but only because his basement acts as a pseudo–bunker. he doesn’t even realise anything is up until he heads out for a late night smoke

evelyn and george (and dusty, sorry!) get got early. alex sacrifices himself to save haley—everyone presumes it’s pure heroism but it’s really just that now his entire family is dead he doesn’t have it in him to fight and if he can save someone on his way out? great

You say Resident Evil and put up the ganados from RE4. They don’t bite people, they just attack with stuff, like infinite throwing axes.

Provided Kent is willing to fight and has a gun, he could hold them back maybe.

    The Wizard would sweep.

  11. I think most of them are alright, since they’ve got the wizard and Marlon protecting them.

Marlon might go down protecting people, or at least get injured, and declares his love to Marnie, who realises he’s so much better than Lewis

  12. I think Kent survives for a while, but ultimately he’d sacrifice himself for his family if he had too.

I think Robin could put up a fight, she might not have combat experience but she’s comfortable with an axe and I think she’d be fine.

Marnie I think could go 50/50, she’s a farm girl at the end of the day so imo she’s definitely got some hidden muscle to her but I feel she’d worry too much.

George wouldn’t survive, but he’d put up one hell of a fight despite his wheelchair.

  13. Kent, Marlon, and Rasmodius are all fine. Kent might die in a sacrifice move, but that would be it.

Abigail and I think Leah would do well. Nobody here is talking about Leah but I think she’d put on some war paint like in Predator and go nuts with her sculpting axe.

Edit: Of course Robin has an axe too, but I don’t picture her with the warrior spirit the same way.

Everyone would hide at the saloon while the farmer, wizard, Marlon, Gil, Kent, and MAYBE Abigail clean up. Im hesitant on Abigail but she can make it down the mines IIRC, so thats something. Regardless everyone should survive in theory.

I can picture Elliot getting offended and scolding the zombies for touching his hair (like he does if you try to give him a torch) before getting murdered

Lets be honest, Zombies stand no chance in Pelican Town. Pam, Clint, Marlon and Alex will go on a rampage and stomp them out of existence

  17. Honestly, if they get ahead of it, I think Robin and Demetrius are able to save a decent chunk of the town, if at the very least through blockading off an uninfected portion of it.

Clint would probably be able to singlehandedly protect everyone, look at the blacksmith from Diablo, he can forge iridium so I imagine he’s like indestructible.

  19. Kent, Marlon, Maru. This is the kind of hard hitting content that keeps me coming here

    – Ican see the teen triad (sam, Sebastian, Abigail) being the ines to do something stupid and end up as the first infected
    – Morris would die trying to get his shit out of joja mart
    – Pierre would be killed off by villagers raiding his store, not the zombies
    – George would fare surprisingly well then die in an epic stand off
    – Pam would absolutely go around smashing zombies with a baseball bat and driving them down with the bus. But be absolutely miserable
    – Clint has all he needs to survive, but will probably end up doing something stupid and croak tight before the cure is found
    – Linus will be fine, he Marlon and the wizard will form a vigilante group that helps the others, but not mingle with them
    – Lea and Shane will do ok at first, but then get suddenly eaten
    – Gus will try and run a save haven. He’s well meaning and well equipped, but his undoing will be someone betraying him

  21. Maru, Robin, and Demetrius honestly would do pretty well. Maru builds robots or turrets, Demetrius studies a possible cure, Robin builds defenses. The Wizard will do well, the Dwarf and Krobus can’t be turned. Marlon and Gil fight with all they have to protect people. George takes himself out by strapping a hundred pounds of tnt to himself and goes out with fireworks to destroy a large chunk of the horde. The farmer solos the horde.
