Fruit trees take an entire season (28 days) to grow. They won’t show incremental changes across all 28 days. If you didn’t plant it before Fall started then unfortunately you won’t get an apples before Fall is over.

They grow in pairs like berries shrubs. Plant 1 by its side next to it or another to left and right. Makes them grow faster.

As long as you aren’t getting a notification overnight about your tree being unable to grow, you’re fine. It’s just that fruit trees take a really long time to mature.
