Who’s your partner and why?


Who did you pick as your husband or wife? What guided you through making that decision? Was it their physical appearance or their character? Maybe you find something closer to yourself in them? Or maybe you ignore all that romance stuff and live as a lonely rancher? You can write something about that too.

For me, it's Maru. I've chosen her because she is just a bit like me: she is smart, kind, a bit of home-bird and introvert, she has a good relation with her parents. Apart from that, I really love her farmerish outfit, her bronze hair and that cute face (glasses always win🥰).

    Sam. He’s definitely the one I find the most physically attractive and his personality is similar to someone of my same age. I’ve been playing the game for so long now that it’s just muscle memory to start romancing Sam and I honestly don’t even think about it at the beginning of a new save besides it being part of my routine.

    On my first run I chose Penny. I like redheads, and I found her to be a very sweet character. On my second farm, and most farms since, I went with Haley because she has actual character development unlike most of the bachelors and all of the other bachelorettes.

    Also, I install mods that allow me to marry all of them…

    Elliott forever and always 💕He’s just such a sweetheart and so soft natured. I pick him in every save file and if I use a polyamory mod, I make sure he’s always the first

    haley. i really love her character development and i just find myself gravitating towards her in every save, even in some saves where i actively try to romance other bachelors/bachelorettes

    i started playing stardew bc my friends said they think id really love harvey… and they were right 😭 im a sucker for mustaches with no beards and he ended up being very sweet and endearing too

    Playing for the first time and picked Harvey. Was gonna go for Haley but a) I like facial hair and b) he told me he left the hustle of the city to settle down somewhere chill and I was like ah. Compatible future goals lmao

    Sebastian. I just like his storyline the best and his motorcycle of course.

    Abigail. I think she’s nice, cute, and funny. I like her heart events and character development. I love the color purple. She’s a gamer and owns a sword, which is pretty cool. She already liked the farm, and a lot of her interests match both my farmer and my own irl.

    My first playthrough I picked Abigail. My current I picked Leah. I like adventurous and artistic types. Elliot’s always been a close runner up.

    Harvey!! I just adore his sweet dialogue and how shy he can be. Plus he reminds me a lot of my IRL spouse in the sense that he also loves pickles and coffee (not so much wine 🤭) and is so sweet. Plus he is just so dang handsome 😭

    Harvey forever and always! He’s so sweet, makes great breakfasts every few weeks. He says the nicest stuff, and I love that he’s a nerd as well! He’s the most stable and mature bachelor; he doesn’t have emotional issues that he needs to work through either. He cares about the farmer so much as well. And honestly, he just reminds me so much of my IRL husband 😂

    Shane. Truth be told, I just bought him one drink for his birthday, so I saw a ton of cut scenes with him early game, got to dance at the flower dance, and just kept bumping into him. In another circumstance, it would’ve been Alex, who I also kept bumping into, but Abigail and Shane got to eight hearts first, and I was more attached to the latter.

    What’s funny was I came in wanting to romance Elliot but he turned out to be elusive.

    Harvey is my go to man and Maru my go to women. I like them because out of everyone they actually feel signal and not in a triangle love affair. Plus they feel closer to my age

    *ahem* It’s always been Leah. I tried romancing other people, but I always end up with Leah. Ever since I was like 11 years old, I’m 20 now, it felt like “cheating” to go with someone else lol. I know it’s a game but for some reason I can’t let go of her, she’s perfect. I like her red hair, and just everything, I guess? 💕

    Harvey is a sweetheart, I love that he’s still passionate about planes despite having to give up on his dream to become a pilot. It’s like he’s trying to get as close to it as possible, which I personally find to be a great personality trait. He may not stick out as much as the other bachelors, but he’s a kind guy who takes his job seriously and puts the well-being of people around him first. Definitely would be a husband material in real life as well 🙂

    Shane best represents the kind of dysfunctional arsehole I used to constantly end up dating until I built some boundaries (a 60 ft fortress, I am so single these days). I married him the first few times I played the game. He will always have my heart.

    I want to choose Harvey but he legitimately looks like a guy I knew who died suddenly AND his last name was Harvey so ummm I can’t.

    I wanna be in a throuple with Robin and Demetrius tbh.
