does anyone else always keep the coop and barn doors closed in the winter? I know the animals aren't gonna go outside, and they have a heater, but I instinctively think they may catch a draught if I leave the doors open 🥶
I literally just closed my coop and barn doors at winter 1 for this exact reason

Not only do I keep them closed in the winter, I close them behind the animals at night in the other 3 seasons, and open them again in the morning. It makes it easier to pet them (and gather produce before autogatherers). From an RP Perspective it feels like I’m keeping them safe from predators and warm, and my understanding is the closed door DOES give a slight happiness bonus.

Is there a point? I mean you don’t lose heat of the door is open, right?

Closing the barn and coop doors is only useful for moving their location. But I also close it during the winter for the same reason I kiss my kids and wife before leaving almost every day: Role-playing.

yep, every night I close them, every morning I open them, and during all of winter they stay closed. it’s an rpg, after all, so why not rp?
