As the title says, what advice can you give me based on the way I built this castle? It`s a pre-hardmode forest pylon castle and also acts as my main base. The way I generally build is as follows:
1) Decide on the theme of the build
2) Look up references for said them
3) Combine basic shapes with purposes of emphasizing the theme and purpose of build
4) Further modify the basic shapes by altering its dimensions
5) For roofs, make it compliment the build as much as possible
6) Interiors (I dont know anything about it
You`re advice and (constructive) criticism shall be greatly appreciated will be enacted in my future builds :>

Well for starters use more block types.
Generally you don’t want all your walls, floors and walls to be made of the same thing.
Torch spam is another thing, use more types of light like chandelies and candles.
Add some busyness in the form of furniture. You can add beds to the npc rooms, paintings in the halls, hat racks by the doors and stuff like this.
At least that’s what I do but I am by no means a good builder (image is my latest build)
