I like the tuff block variants for the designs & colors but I just don’t like the Tuff Brick-only design. I’m not good or patient enough for good texturing. I get super bored of it.

Build concept is a washed up, beachfront bunker with a landing pad on the roof (featuring crossbow turrets from a mod)

But is this bad or too much???

  1. No, looks neat. I am a certified block vomit hater, and I must say that this looks really nice and neat, plus pretty realistic. I love the atmosphere it creates!

i mean yea, but i mean who cares? it looks good so as long as u enjoy it then thats all that matters

It looks really good, but the swirls on the chiseled tuff blocks are a little distracting to me

I think it’s good, but could use some work. Be more intentional with the more detailed variants, maybe add in some walls and stairs for depth, and that should help it pop.

Just give it some proper greebling.

Hold up, that genuinely looks great. I’m kinda surprised I don’t see mixed tuff bricks like this more often?

You might be able to add some other materials to make more of a true gradient but this is fine as it is

  6. It’s nice but more variety is definitely needed. You could add accents to your build to make it seem more lively and dead coral and cobble would give it more depth

Nah, it doesn’t look bad. My only advice might be to make certain blocks more common towards the bottom and top to add a sort of gradient.

I wouldn’t call this block vomit, you are using the same type of block and color scheme, I think people call stuff block vomit when it is tons of different blocks with tons of different shades of color

    This is just texturing.

I think the scale is what makes it work. If this were a fourth of the size, the noise would be more noticeable and therefore more distracting. On a larger scale it hits the balance of looking natural quite well

  10. I think it looks pretty good but what I’d do instead of just random tuff blocks just do one main block and then patches of the other ones and variation i think it’s a little too random

I think in this context it works. Maybe not on a smaller scale but large scale it works fine.

Ill be so real. It looks good, and honestly I didnt even realize it was all tuff blocks. I really wouldnt worry with changing it, especially if youre happy with it

  13. id recommend using the smooth tuff blocks (or whatever they are called i forgot their name, correct me if im wrong tho) a bit more sparingly, and also introduce the regular tuff block for more texture by replacing some of the chiseled ones

and also keep the top part of the wall have more tuff bricks while the bottom-mid of the wall has more tuff, chiseled tuff and smooth tuff

  14. I barely play Minecraft in 2 week phases and Idk what block vomit is but I think it looks great

  15. Good choice of palette but you’ve overdone it a bit I think. Rather than looking weathered and worn this just looks like poor masonry work
