









I’ve been working on this game for the past 2 weeks, it’s an Open World RPG take on The Backrooms
Wanderers spawn at the pile of furniture Clark is met with in the trailer, from there, the world is your oyster, unlike every other Backrooms game that use a linear level to level setup or just a hallway of doors for you to visit specific levels, my game offers the most wiki-dot inspired gameplay
Every level has multiple exits that branch into different levels, there’s no 1 set way to play, you have inventory management, a group system to team up with other wanderers, track their location and make peace
There’s a level system for you to grind, you get XP from discovering new exits, defeating entities like Smilers with your flashlight or other cases (see combat)
In levels such as Level 1 – The Habitable Zone, you can come across NPC wanderer's that have setup a base where you can buy and sell items
NPC Wanderers can also spawn in within any level you explore ranging from being hurt and needing help, to roaming freely all the way to being deranged and targeting you
You get a wanderers token upon every level up which can be used to slightly enhance your Sanity, Speed, Health, etc
Combat: unlike most Backrooms games that leave you defenseless, in my game you’re able to find scavenged melee weapons like 2×4 to stun certain entities or possible take head on, you can also find an Almond Water Squirt Gun which can be used to attack entities from a distance, but this uses up the same almond water you need to scavenge for your sanity
