But first I'll say it was in journey mode. Never in God Mode, kept at Classic difficulty (I beat a few bosses on expert for the goodie bag – and died to way more of them).

It took me forever! I would get so sidetracked building stuff. Dragging wire across the entire map. I must have spent 5 hours last night (up til 4 in the morning) playing with the portal gun ML dropped. My point is beating a game like this was truly an accomplishment for me, haha.

My battle with Moon Lord was the most high stakes and terrifying moment of the game. I accidently summoned him while standing on the jungle surface. No platforms, buffs. Uneven ground. It was sooo close you wouldn't believe it.

What do you consider beating the game?

There's still so much to do. Each NPC deserves their own personalized house in their favorite biome. There's achievements to unlock. The sword up from the Terra Blade? I need it. Wired contraptions that do crazy shit? Necessary.

I'm trying to compare these needs with beating the game outside of Journey mode. What a pain. I've been spoiled. Non-journey mode is not a creators paradise. Anyways..

Here's a pic of one of the pillars spawning right above my tree fort base. It actually made it way easier for me. Just hide inside and wait.
